FEEDBURNER and RSS

FEEDBURNER and RSS: Once you're signed up to FeedBurner.com, and it's home page appears, you need to burn your feed (add your Blog address) to FeedBurner. So, under (Burn a Feed Right This Instant) type in your Blog's address using this format (http://yourblogaddress.blogspot.com) for example, I typed in my Blog address as: http://pamelaparr49.blogspot.com. Click on Next, and you'll see that FeedBurner has created your FeedBurner feed address for you.

Now you need to add (copy and paste) or type your FeedBurner feed address into your Blog site. This process links FeedBurner to your Blog site. Do so by logging into your Blog>click Settings>click Site Feed>enter your feed address beside: Post Feed Redirect URL:>scroll to bottom of page and click on Save Settings. While still on this Site Feed page of your Blog, make sure that the setting Allow Blog Feeds is set to Full. Now all of your Blog postings will appear in your Blog and on FeedBurner, too.

Place a FeedBurner Reader link (via icon, aka. Chicklet) onto your Blog that allows others to subscribe to and read your blog postings on FeedBurner. Log into FeedBurner.com, click on Publicize> on left of page click on Chicklet Chooser>under Choose the New Standard Feed Icon (pictured to your left) select this icon. Or you can select separate readers under:  (Or use a custom icon from popular web aggregator). By scrolling down to the bottom of this list of aggregators you'll see that you can also select a separate: Subscribe to (your Blog name) link. For my Blog I chose the personalized one, Subscribe to Computer Repair Service, and the New Standard Feed Icon. Note: Read more about the New
Standard Feed Icon at: http://www.feedicons.com.

NOTE: You can also contact me with any of your computer related questions via my cnet.com profile at this link: www.cnet.com/profile/pamjparr/, then just click on: E-mail Pamela j.
